Can-Do Missions

CHRIST AMONG NATIONS - DISCIPLE OUTREACH

Created in 1992 and introduced at the 1993 GLORYBOUND (the Texas District Youth Gathering), CAN-DO Missions is a vehicle to actively involve the youth and adults of our congregations in Christ’s great commission to “Go and make disciples of all nations”.

Through short-term mission trips to locations around the United States and the world, CAN-DO provides opportunities for youth and adults to support specific missions with their financial gifts and volunteer hands-on labor. As a result of these experiences, the lives of youth and adults are changed significantly and a greater passion for missions is ignited.

Some of the benefits for your congregation are:

-Joining forces with a large number of other Christians in sponsoring a major mission endeavor for Christ that could not be accomplished alone or by one congregation.
-Involving people in meaningful ministry as they make a difference for Christ locally and/or globally.
-Building self-confidence and spiritual maturity. Training people for mission-minded leadership.
-Serving as an opportunity to recruit people for full-time service in the church as parish professionals or missionaries.

"I CAN-DO all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phil. 4:13
